My bride and I have been married for 27 years today. In the scheme of things and to many, that's not really that great of an achievement I guess. But, what is, is that we have raised 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl and have 10 grandchildren and in 27+ years my bride and I have never had a fuss or heated argument.
We agreed to disagree and made a covenant together when we married in that we would never scream, use obscenities or call names or get to upset "no matter what happened."
Anyone married knows there are those times when we are pushed to the limit and lose our tempers, etc. We did too I'm sure but in that moment we never forgot our love for one another and our agreement to calm down before we discussed things that could cause us to say things we would later regret.
As strange as this may sound, it's the truth. And, after 27 years we are still the best of friends and my bride is my true soul-mate and love for life.
